We've compared prices so you don't have to. Here's a rundown of the top sellers in the UK for plastic storage boxes, including where you can find them the cheapest.
We've compared prices for the most popular sizes, from the small 32 litre boxes (perfect for under bed storage), through to 45 litre, 60 litre and the extremely popular large 80 litre plastic storage boxes.
Every box we list comes with a lid. Unless stated otherwise, all of the boxes listed are clear to make it really easy to see the contents. They're also all stackable when in use and nestable when not.
We also have comparisons available for heavy duty storage boxes (some of which are strong enough to park a car on) and a students best friend; plastic draws.

Storage boxes are really useful and come in a range of sizes. Perhaps the most popular are those that fit under beds such as the 32L Wham Crystal box (also available with wheels to easily slide under your bed) and the 80 Litre plastic storage boxes. 80L are the ideal size for most uses, great for loft storage, garage storage, cupboard storage and much more.
Plastic boxes come in a range of colours including green, blue, black, pink and of course the most popular - clear. We only compare prices for the clear boxes since these are the most popular. At the end of the day, most people want to be able to easily see the contents of their storage boxes, so buying a clear box is often the best bet.
We've compared deals from Plastic Box Shop, B&Q, Amazon and more. Check back soon as we'll be adding more sizes and more deals shortly.
Under bed storage boxes are great. They come in different shapes and sizes and in both wheeled and non-wheeled varieties.
Generally, a 32 litre storage box is the safest bet, but if your bed is a little higher, or a bit bigger then look around for alternatives. For example Wham do a 55 litre storage box that is small enough to fit under most beds. But you'll need a double bed or larger to fit it in nicely without kicking it all the time. We recommend measuring up to be on the safe side before buying.
If you're after something a little cheaper, then you could look into fabric storage boxes. These won't be as robust, but they'll keep the dust out and they tend to be a lot cheaper (mostly due to the cost of shipping a plastic box that isn't collapsible in the post!).
You might be wondering why a simple box is so expensive. The cheapest we've found generally hover at around £6 per box - that's extornionate when you think about how quickly a machine can pop them out and what they're made of. But delve into the reasons and it becomes clear; it's the cost of storage, shipping and breakages that pusdh the price up. When you think about it, when you buy a plastic box online, they're shipping an empty box packaged up in a cardboard box. Add in the cost of storing such a bulky item, along with the amount of packaging required to minimise the risk of it getting broken in transit and it starts to become clear.
You might find it cheaper to buy plastic boxes in store. B&Q, Wickes and similar stores are a great place to find them. You should also try your local hardware store, as they often have them stacked up somewhere.
