Most stores that stock seasonal products will have charcoal on sale during the warmer summer months (well in theory anyway. We've taken to calling summer 'slightly warmer winter'), but the quality isn't always right. Typically these are cheap bags sold at a high price. If you're just lighting your BBQ for a few sausages, then that's probably fine, but anything bigger and you might want to shop around a bit.
